We have a secret in our culture...

and it's not that birth is painful. It's that women are strong. - Laura Stavoe Harm

To find an LLL Group near you, look on the Group Web Index and phone or email any Leader in your state or country. You can also phone LLLI at 1-800-LALECHE or 847-519-7730 during business hours or LLL Canada at 1-800-665-4324 to find a local LLL contact.

To help parents who are interested in breastfeeding, we (Le Leche League) have compiled our lists of frequently asked questions (FAQs), written by accredited La Leche League Leaders and reviewed by our Professional Liaison Department staff. As we add more and more information, FAQs on topics that may be less common are also included--please don't assume that, because a concern is listed here, most mothers will experience it, because the majority of mothers experience few breastfeeding challenges.

Be sure to look at our online catalogue to order La Leche League books, pamphlets and other materials! If your breastfeeding difficulties  need to be addressed immediately, please contact a local La Leche League Leader, lactation specialist, or other health-care practitioner.

If you have a breastfeeding question or problem, and you are unable to reach a local LLL Leader, you can use our Breastfeeding Help Form to ask an accredited LLL Leader about your concern. Most LLL services are provided at no cost. If you would like to become one of the people who make our work possible, click here.

Note that these documents are for personal use only. Please do not reprint these items or distribute them further without written permission from La Leche League International.

(The date in parentheses after each FAQ is the date last modified. )
